Before TREAT comes PREP.
ARx PREP™ is a specialized skin-preparation treatment formulated with microscopic sponge spicules suspended within a lightweight cosmetic gel.
Designed for occasional evening use, PREP provides a distinctive exfoliating and skin-conditioning experience that leaves skin feeling refreshed and prepared for the skincare ritual that follows.
WHAT ARE SPICULES?
Spicules are incredibly small, naturally derived structures obtained from sponge material.
Their unique microscopic shape gives PREP its unmistakable sensory experience. When gently pressed onto the skin, you may notice a temporary prickling or tingling sensation — very different from a traditional scrub or acid exfoliant.
No abrasive grains. No aggressive scrubbing.
Just a completely different approach to skin preparation.
WHY PREP?
Your skin’s outermost layer — the stratum corneum — forms an effective protective surface.
PREP was created as the first step of The ARx Method™ to provide targeted surface exfoliation and conditioning, helping improve the appearance and feel of skin before the products that follow.
The goal isn’t aggressive exfoliation.
It’s intentional preparation.
THE FORMULA
Hydrolyzed Sponge The source of PREP’s microscopic spicule structures and its distinctive physical exfoliating experience.
Propanediol Helps support hydration and contributes to the smooth application and feel of the formula.
Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7 A cosmetic peptide incorporated as part of PREP’s skin-conditioning formulation.
The formula is completed with carefully selected ingredients that create and preserve PREP’s lightweight gel texture.
HOW TO USE
Use in the evening on clean, dry skin.
Apply a small amount and gently press or pat onto the skin. Do not aggressively rub or massage.
A temporary prickling or tingling sensation may occur during and following application.
Follow with ARx TREAT™, then finish with ARx RENEW™.
Week 1: Begin once weekly. Thereafter: If well tolerated, increase to twice weekly. Maximum: Up to three evenings per week.
Avoid the eye area and application to broken or irritated skin. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.
